On 25 November 2025, the Health Impact Assessment Division organized a meeting to develop tools and guidelines for assessing awareness and health outcomes among older persons at Meeting Room 1 of the Health Impact Assessment Division. For this meeting, Dr. Jittima Rodsawas, Director of the Health Impact Assessment Division, assigned Dr. Benjawan Thawatchsupa, Deputy Director of the Health Impact Assessment Division, to serve as chair. Participants included representatives from the Health Intervention and Technology Assessment Program (HITAP) and staff of the Health Impact Assessment Division.

The objectives of the meeting were: (1) to exchange concepts, tools, and approaches for assessing health outcomes with experts and relevant partner organizations; and (2) to discuss the development of tools and guidelines for assessing health outcomes resulting from environmental health measures.

During the meeting, the project framework on assessing awareness and health outcomes of older persons arising from the management of environmental health risk factors and the use of Health Impact Assessment (HIA) in developing age-friendly cities was presented. Relevant agencies shared experiences and exchanged knowledge on concepts, tools, and approaches for assessing health outcomes, as well as discussed the development of tools and guidelines for assessing health outcomes from environmental health measures.

The key results of the meeting were the development of tools and guidelines for assessing health outcomes among older persons in relation to environmental health measures, and the strengthening of collaboration among relevant agencies to support effective joint implementation in the future.
